Bar Admission

Requirements for Admission to the Bar
As a rule, the following are the requirements for admission to the Bar:
  1. Citizen of the Philippines;
  2. At least 21 years of age;
  3. Of good moral character; 
    • Must produce before the Supreme Court satisfactory evidence of good moral character
    • No charges against him or her involving moral turpitude which have been filed or are pending in any court in the Philippines;
  4. Resident of the Philippines;
  5. Must have complied with the academic requirements;
  6. Must pass the Bar examinations;
  7. Take the lawyer's oath;
  8. Sign the Roll of Attorneys; and
  9.  Receive a license to practice from the Clerk of Court of the Supreme Court.
